So Obama considers himself the candidate of change; a respite from the Washington insiders. I will admit, he talks a very good game when it comes to selling himself. (The question is "What are we buying?") Many of us, however are not fooled by his rhetoric. Obama's selection of Joe Biden as his VP candidate is the very opposite of change as he is the epitome of a Washington insider with his 36 years of Senate experience. McCain, in selecting Sarah Palin, has selected himself an outsider to Washington and its bureaucracies who has a record of taking on the Republican party in Alaska (and angering senior GOPers.) Coupled with McCain's reputation of going against party politics, I think this makes him the true candidate of change and the true maverick. Obama is trying to sell himself this very way but actions speak louder than words, no matter how well you preach.
